The Kellerwald Forest
The natural reserve and nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee is located in the middle of north Hesse among broad beech forests. Recently these woods became part of the UNESCO natural heritage. Next to the high amount of beech woods, the surrounding landscape includes gnarled oaks, flower meadows, fields and little villages.
